Friending: Real Relationships in a Virtual World (Book Review)

Friending: Real Relationships in a Virtual World

“…each person we meet has the potential to become a friend for life.”

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Friending: Real Relationships in a Virtual World is about so much more than virtual communication; it is an encouraging nudge toward healthy friendships in ALL forms – virtual and physical.

To be sure, this book is informative, but even more than that, it’s clear while reading that everything in this book comes straight from Lynne’s heart.

And although Lynne writes from a biblical viewpoint, she doesn’t fill the pages with endless Bible verses and theological sermons, which I appreciate. The entire book is both practical and heartfelt, and extremely relevant to today’s ever-changing technology.

“It’s a person on the other end. It may be a machine that’s enabling you to be in contact with that person, but it’s a person.”

(excerpt from Friending: Real Relationships in a Virtual World by Lynne M. Baab)

Oh, that the whole world could receive this message today. I highly recommend this book to all.
